Inauguration of the Mário Soares Urban Park

The inauguration of the Dr Mário Soares Urban Park, in the Lapa area of Porto, will take place on 5 December 2024 at 16h00.

The park covers an area of 17,000 square metres and will feature a bust in honour of Mário Soares. The ceremony will be attended by the President of the Republic.

The initiative is promoted by Porto City Council and is part of the programme to commemorate Mário Soares' centenary.
